Greenland’s centre-right Demokraatit party, which calls for a gradualist approach to independence from Denmark, won Tuesday’s parliamentary election with 29.9 percent of the vote. The nationalist Naleraq party, the territory’s most ardent pro-independence party, came in second with 24.5 percent.
